Maintenance Technician

Local apartment community in Jackson TN looking to hire a part to full time maintenance technician to assist Lead Maintenance by balancing workflow of work orders and unit turnovers.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems. Diagnose and repair building issues, including mechanical, structural, and safety systems.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and ensure systems are operating efficiently.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests and provide prompt service.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for major repairs or projects.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.
On-call and weekends as needed
Qualifications and Physical Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications are a plus).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
Familiarity with tools, equipment, and machinery used in maintenance work.
Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams to perform necessary repairs.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Standing, bending, and working in various environments (indoor/outdoor) for extended periods.
Ability to use ladders and other safety equipment.
